Healthspan Program KHARIS
strategies for aging gracefully
KHARIS ("Grace" in Greek) mission is to develop new strategies that improve healthspan, which leads to improved quality of life, and reduce healthcare spending.
KHARIS is using systems and genetics approaches to understand the aging process. The research of Pr. Johan Auwerx spurred the development of new drugs, for the treatment of non-communicable diseases of the metabolic, cardiovascular, renal, and neuro-muscular systems.

KHARIS‘ mission is to:

-
define personalized healthspan metrics and trajectories by integration of mouse and human data
-
map predictive and causal factors of the decline of health, loss in resilience, and age-related disease
-
identify and validate candidate healthspan and disease targets
-
develop modality-agnostic strategies/therapeutics to increase healthspan and resilience
-
create a digital twin of health to facilitate silicon clinical trial
